• ABOUT SPEED DATING. How does it work? Okay. There are ten stations each manned by a sponsor who offers you a service. We put you in a group of ten, each of you starts at a different station. You spend three minutes finding out about your date." Or telling them about yourself. Or asking for advice. Or cvetching. It's your three minutes. We let you know when 30 seconds remain, and then we let you know when three minutes are up and you have to move to the next station. As a thank you, your "date" will give you a coupon for a discount or special offer (these offers are given only to people who go through Speed Dating.) At the end of a thirty minute (approx) circuit, we bring in the next group of ten. While you're waiting, you can drink and socialize. Join the Discussion Group. Have your headshot retouched. Or primp for your date.

Valerie was asked to join the WB staff because of her excellent people skills and a genuine desire to help actors fulfill their goals. Although her principal job is running the school, she casts for corporate videos, commercial print, and the occasional student film. She considers it a scared trust to continue what Bob and his partner, famed announcer Dwight Weist were the first to create. Valerie also developed “Getting the Biz’ness” one of the first patented seminars dealing with the logistics of pursuing a career in Acting. In addition she teaches “Cold Reading for Film & TV” and directs the much- admired Weist-Barron Film & Television Showcases.
Weist-Barron has been training, guiding and show-casing actors specifically for work in Film and Television since 1956. • BLUFACE PHOTOGRAPHY - is one of the most creative headshot photo studios in New York City to come along in years. BLUFACE is considered a great asset to both actors and models. Blu Toth the owner and creative force behind BLUFACE has worked on both sides of the camera. As a former top model in Europe and the US, Blu was represented by the ELITE International modeling agency. Blu has a most unique perspective to offer her clients, having worked on television, film, runway and print Blu has a very keen idea of what her clients need to book the job. To be able to find one person who is an expert in makeup, camera angles, and recognized as one of the best photoshop artists in town sounds to be an almost impossible, yet that is how Blu is best described. Not only can she create the perfect look for you making the most of your asset. She does the shoot and then enhances you with her magical photoshop eye in a very natural way. " The client comes first "says Blu, "My love for acting is equal to my love for actor, I admire anyone who takes on such a difficult and challenging profession ". Actors and models both, love to come to BLUFACE and finally breathe and relax in front of the camera instead of going through the shoot and wondering how it will turn out. Blu understands the feeling of being on a very important photoshoot and immediately puts you at ease, you know what you are going to get from her right at the beginning, you will look like you just came back from the best vacation ever !! |

"I work with actors to encourage and expand their imagination; to find more than one choice in making a piece work; to get out of the safety zone and make choices that are bold, fun and interesting. Trusting imagination is not enough, though; verbal skills are also needed to make language come alive, to give it life, vitality, power, and music. So this is how I work – find the truth in a scene, using imagination and the words the writer gives us to tell a story, and adding movement that ‘suits the action to the word’ – this is what I support an actor in doing." |
