made her OOB debut in 1978 with a spoof on academe entitled Square Roots.  The following year, she won first prize for drama at the Philadelphia Writers Conference for her comedy, Hollyhocks, later performed in NY and PA as Rabbit Stew. There have been about 75 readings (some self-produced) and productions of her plays, mainly in New York, including the Quaigh Theatre production of her comedy, Holy Heist, at the Samuel Beckett Theatre in 1987. Her surrealist play, Brummagem, was selected for development in 1988 in a residency at the Carnegie-Mellon Showcase for New Plays.  A Pageant for Palm Sunday, part of the Monkeyshines trilogy, made its debut at the Miranda Theatre in NY. She served as Vice President of the Theatre Association of PA.  She received a number of grants from the PA Council on the Arts, including a fellowship to complete her ninth play, Miles to Babylon, a vindication of the scathing depiction of Ella O'Neill from the depths of Long Day's Journey Into Night. Directed by George C. White of the O"Neill Center with Geraldine Fitzgerald as Ella O'Neill, MTB had a reading at Monte Cristo Cottage in New London, and later in NY with Maria Tucci.  It was also read at Primary Stages and other venues with Kathleen Chalfant and Trish Hawkins. She holds a Master's Degree in English from NYU and has also trained with Gene Frankel, the HB Studio, Columbia Pictures Television, and was a member of Jeff Sweet's New York Writers Bloc. She has been a literary associate at Primary Stages and also read plays for the Quaigh Theatre.
