actor, singer, pianist and writer, lives in Brooklyn.  She’s musical directed over 30 shows and sings and acts on many NYC stages including The Secret Theater, The Chain Theater, The Wild Project, The Fresh Fruit Festival, 59e59, The Articulate Theatre, The Players Theater and Planet Connections. She wrote and performs an autobiographical classical piano solo show, Velvet Determination, which won numerous awards in the festival circuit including “Best Festival Debut” (United Solo at Theatre Row) and “Best Solo Show” (Pittsburgh Fringe), and garnered critical acclaim at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe: “charming and relatable.”  She was musical director of the NY Christmas Revels for 15 years and has created a comedic webseries, Dr. Ivory von Tickle playing Dr. Ivory who teaches piano lessons on YouTube.  She currently directs the a cappella group, The Art Mob and sings with the contemporary choral group, C4 Ensemble, and performs cabaret shows at Don’t Tell Mama.  www.cynthiashaw.us.
