As a youngster, Paul Katz studied piano, voice training and sight singing at the Chatham Square Music School (Dir: Fredrick Popper) and then at Mannes Prep (Dir: Rise Stevens) here in New York. Other education: York University BFA with Honours in Film Production, Toronto; The B.M.I. Workshop with Lehman Engel, New York. Voice Training: Joan Kobin and Lehman Bick (N.Y.) Paul Katz has worn many hats in the performing world - mostly as a pianist, singer, actor, teacher, and record and event producer. Not only was he under contract as an actor on ANOTHER WORLD (NBC) he also wrote the songs that were featured on the show.His musicals have been seen in major venues nationwide: Tales of Tinseltown, Slay it with Music, Dirty Dreams of a Clean Cut Kid to name a few, in major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami. In WE’LL MEET AGAIN (45th Street Theater, York Theater) Paul musical directed and was a featured singer-performer.
