Hansome is an AUDELCO Outstanding Pioneer Honoree who’s directed Melba Moore’s Sweet Songs of the Soul (Best Solo Performer AUDELCO Award) at the National Black Theater Festival, Bermuda Festival and New Federal Theater. She has directed over thirty-five productions including Dust of Egypt (NY Theater Festival) Saviour? (Dwyer Cultural Center) Another Man’s Poison (Peter Jay Sharp Theater) T’was The Night Before Kwanzaa (Black Spectrum and Billie Holiday Theaters) and Real Black Men Don’t Sit Crosslegged On The Floor (New Federal Theater, Best Ensemble AUDELCO Award.) Passion directed the debut of Connie Winston’s American Captives: Lena Baker & Sandra Bland at Dixon Place and in the United Solo Festival on Theater Row.  Her most recent projects include directing Stevie & The Infinite Scroll in the inaugural class of Writing & Design for the Musical Theater Masters Program at Berklee NYC; Dust of Egypt (Best Director/ Play Nominee & Best Actress – Award) in the NY Theater Festival Winterfest and Pre-Nuptial Disagreements in the New Federal Theater Playwright Workshop Showcase. She directed the short film, Let’s Keep It Professional. She has directed performances in the Houston and Newark airports, National Arts Club and Museum of the City of NY. She delights in her extensive experience with solo works by comedians and actors. Festival directing includes 48 Hours in Harlem NY International Fringe Festival, Voices From The Edge, NYU Festival of New Works, Chekov NOW, Potpourri!, Estrogenius and Going To The River.  She enjoyed 5 years as Artistic Director of the NJPAC Young Writers Workshop.
