Need an affordable way to test a new work? Many shows have gotten their start in cabaret venues, dating back to the phenomenon of Nunsense at The Duplex. Meet venue managers and producers who have used cabaret and other less traditional spaces to start or gain momentum for a show. Many do concert presentations of musicals in development, of course, but other levels of production - musical and non - may be possible with creative thinking.
 
Doors open at 7:00pm for networking and refreshments, roundtable introductions of everyone in the room will start at 7:30pm - come prepared with your best one-minute summary of who you are, and what you need. Van is President and Co-Founder of Broadway Records and his philanthropic work includes being a producer of “Broadway For Orlando: What The World Needs Now is Love”, Broadway United’s “We Are The World”, “Broadway Kids Against Bullying: I Have a Voice”, “From Broadway With Love” benefit concerts for Sandy Hook, Orlando (Emmy Award winner for sound design) and Parkland as well his work with NewArts in Sandy Hook/Newtown, CT.

    is the founder of Financial Wellness Companion and Entertaining Finance. With 15 years of experience in the personal financial planning industry, Bailie developed a niche in the arts and freelance communities, specializing in working with people with an uneven income. She has also made a study of language and how people communicate about their art, be it screenwriting, playwriting, sculpting, performing, or painting. Bailie helps to translate the creator’s passion about their work and contributions to the world to others in a business setting. Bailie has also spent significant time in the theatre industry as a stage manager, general manager, and producer. She is a Life Purpose Life Coach and a New York Mental Health Peer Specialist. She lives in New York City with her rescue pup, Lorelai.
