Need an affordable way to test a new work? Many shows have gotten their start in cabaret venues, dating back to the phenomenon of Nunsense at The Duplex. Meet venue managers and producers who have used cabaret and other less traditional spaces to start or gain momentum for a show. Many do concert presentations of musicals in development, of course, but other levels of production - musical and non - may be possible with creative thinking.
Doors open at 7:00pm for networking and refreshments, roundtable introductions of everyone in the room will start at 7:30pm - come prepared with your best one-minute summary of who you are, and what you need. Free for TRU members;
$15 for non-members at the door ($12.00 if you register in advance above), free for TRU members. Please register above, or call at least a day in advance (or much sooner) for reservations: 212/714-7628, or e-mail
