In the room: Maxwell Beer, producer of the edgy off-Broadway Cellino V. Barnes, and a 2023 Prince Fellow at Columbia's MFA theater program. We'll talk about how he found his little off-Broadway show and worked his way up to producing it, as well as his plans for a future off-Broadway production next year. Did we mention he is also a writer member of the BMI Musical Theater Lab? We'll discuss how developing knowledge of the writing craft has proven to be invaluable on his pathway to producing. How has he managed to navigate this tricky business so well, and what would his advice be to other under-30 producer hopefuls?
