When registration is completed, we will create an individualized dashboard for you, and from there you can register FREE for the preparation workshops.

All TRU members and AEA members will be given priority acceptance and time assignments, and then remaining applicants will be selected based on type, training and experience. All applicants who attend the preparation workshops will be accepted.

We strongly encourage diversity - we are inviting a range of theater companies and indie producers with a range of casting needs, including live performance, film and virtual. So yes, they want to see YOU.

COMMUNITY GATHERING FOR ACTORS – Every Friday since lockdown, TRU has hosted our weekly Community Gatherings on Zoom, leading panel discussions with industry professionals. Two Fridays in the month of April will focus on actor related topics.

IT PAYS TO APPLY EARLY! The first 80 applicants are are given priority acceptance and time assigments. After that, only TRU members and Equity members are automatically accepted; non-member applications will be passed in after the final submission date of April 16, subject to availability. If we do not have room for you, we will issue a check refund of your submission fee prorated for the workshops you attended. If you cancel after we schedule you, and you do it with more than 2 days notice, we will issue a refund minus a $25 processing fee. Cancellations less than 3 days before the event will be considered on a case by case basis.

With commercial producers Margot Astrachan (The Prom, A Gentleman's Guide..., Nice Work If You Can Get It, On a Clear Day...), RK Greene (Peter and the Starcatcher, Terms of Endearment, Cougar), Cody Lassen (Indecent, Spring Awakening revival), Brian Moreland (The Lifespan of a Fact; upcoming: Thoughts of a Colored Man directed by Taye Diggs, BLUE, and ) and Ken Waissman (original Grease, Torch Song Trilogy, Agnes of God).

Producing is hard, and commercial theater productions have a notoriously low rate of return on investment. So why do people do it? Five dedicated producers will talk about why they invest time and money (their own and other people's) in order to bring works to the stage. How do they pick their projects? And what is the secret to raising money for such a high-risk ventures? What mistakes have they made along the way, and what was their proudest moment? Most importantly, we will also consider the qualities that make for a "successful" producer, and how each defines success.

Doors open at 7:00pm for networking and refreshments, roundtable introductions of everyone in the room will start at 7:30pm - come prepared with your best 30-second summary of who you are, and what you need.
