Audition Event
Description

An annual opportunity for theater companies and producers to see over 200 talented actors, both union and non-union, in one inspiring weekend. Originally presented live in a NYC venue, shutdown has pushed us to do this virtually made possible by a partnership with John Lant and Tamra Pica of WRITE ACT REPERTORY. This has allowed us to be more inclusive of actors and producers from outside the New York area. The event is free for all companies and individuals with genuine casting needs. There is a modest fee for the actors who come and audition.

Actors sign up for a scheduled 2-minute audition slot in which they are expected to present two contrasting pieces as a way of increasing their potential appeal to a wide range of producers with varying casting needs. One weekend day is set aside for singing actors, and the other for non-singers. Everybody, h0wever, is required to prepare at least one monologue, including singers.
