presented in association with Cate Cammarata and CreateTheater.com
with generous support from R.K. Greene and the Storyline Project, LLC
Let us pay for a developmental reading of your new play or musical! Created to nurture producers as well as writers, TRU VOICES seeks producer-driven projects, and also matches writers with producers. Each reading is followed by a “Dollars and Sense” panel discussion with prominent New York producers, general managers and artistic directors focusing on potential venues, marketing and budgeting of the work.

2023 TRU VOICES NEW MUSICALS READING SERIES
We have not solved the challenges of doing the musicals series virtually, and are delaying until we feel safe doing the series live again.
Click here for the TRU Voices New Musicals Reading Series detailed information and history.
Series is on hiatus due to both funding and COVID, but we expect submissions to open for a 2022 series once COVID restrictions are lifted. Presenting the musical readings virtually requires us (and you) to pre-record and edit anything beyond a solo number, and will be cost-prohibitive. Bear with us. If feasible, guidelines and application for 202s will be similar to these:
