BECOME A MEMBER
An individual membership in Theater Resources Unlimited is now $110 a year for all the benefits listed below. A group or company membership costs $160 a year, and gives the same benefits for any two members of your organization. We also offer a special student/senior membership of $75 - please email trustaff1@gmail.com to confirm that you qualify.
NOTE: you can join in a subscription meaning you will automatically renew on your anniversary date, or you can join as a one-time member.
Anyone who is already an auto-renewing member is grandfathered in at the $95/$130/$70 renewal rate. Your subscription price will not increase.

Please be sure to include your name, address, phone number, company affiliation, email address and what you do (producer, writer, actor, director, publicist, designer, technician, audience member, etc.) so we can list it all in our referral database.

TRU Producer Boot Camps

TRU Producer Development & Mentorship Program
Eligibility for program of focused weekly training for producers and self-producers which includes one-on-one mentoring sessions with a top New York producer, artistic director or general manager.
Annual TRU Audition Event
Priority privileges at the annual TRU Audition Event. Actors receive a discount off the application fee. Producers, writers and directors are given priority seating for the two-day event, and the chance to see a full lineup of actors.
TRU Voices Reading Series
Priority consideration and waived fees in TRU co-operative productions and play reading series, including the New Plays Reading Series, and the New Musicals Reading Series.
Free consultation for new members (your choice):
One free legal consultation per year, plus reduced fees from prominent entertainment attorneys; or a career creative consultation with Joanne Zippel; or a business or personal finanicial consultation with financial advisor Bailie Slevin.
Writer-Producer
Speed Date
Reduced participation fee for writers who are accepted into this event, an opportunity to pitch your work to a lineup of 11 commercial, indie and not-for-profit producers.
TRU postal mailing list
Members-only access to the TRU postal mailing list of over 10,000 names (we do not share our email list of 4700 names... nor would most of you actually want us to).
TRU member productions
Reduced admission for TRU members to productions by other participating TRU theater companies.
Other discounts
Reciprocal memberships at a reduced rate for the Episopal Actors Guild and the League of Professional Theatre Women. Reduced rates for TRU members for various theater resources (i.e. theater space, promotion and publicity, printing, advertising, etc.).
